i have until-

the 5th of October to watch the series. Is this show worth a binge watch? I love British telly and was sad to see it was leaving Acorn streaming so soon. Didn't know if this needs to be watched slowly and fall for it that way or can I crash, watch it all on a sick day and enjoy it just as well. Opinions?

I binge-watched the first three series, which was all my local library had on DVD. Then I immediately ordered the full set of DVDs for my personal collection. That's how much I loved this show. And I totally fell in love with Davies (and Davison) long before the show was over. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Heykincaid thanks for the optimistic response. I have an hour and a half before Who airs so I guess I'll get started tomorrow!

I've watched the series twice over the past two years. On rewatching I frequently ff'd thru the marriage and best friend scenes. I like Brit mysteries and this is one is very good. The 1.5 hr format is more involving. Very few guns or chases, some lame action sequences but wonderful acting, great colloquialisms, lots of time at the pub. What's not to like. If you're on Acorn I have enjoyed George Gently, Midsomer, Death in Suburbia, Vera, Single-Handed, and I've enjoyed others but these hold up to a second viewing.
