shareLynley's wife is very unpleasant, yes, but Davies's wife is annoying like hell and I really hate her sometimes..
shareBelieve you're not alone in that opinion @MaskWhoRU! I wonder where the decision was made to make her so negative or was it just that since she needed to find her own way for a while (trial separation after all) we just felt less sympathetic to her. Well, maybe not, the character sure could be unpleasant.

Yeah, I dislike her as well.
Whether it's the repair work around the house or rubbing it in his face that she's banging different guys every other week...I wish he'd be done with her.
I'm just starting season two, and so far I haven't found anything terribly wrong with his wife. Dangerous is soooooo patient with everybody. . .and sometimes I find **that** annoying, but I understand that is the character's personality.
shareI agree, rickert. I was so disappointed when they started to patch things up. I know you can't help who you love, but Davies deserved better than her. His willingness to forgive and forget her numerous boyfriends (they were still married after all) seemed unbelievable to me, even for someone as nice as Davies. In an earlier TV movie (based on the first novel) where Davies was played by Bernard Cribbins, Davies and his wife are divorced, although they both live in the same boardinghouse, and Davies seems happy to be rid of her.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
