Does anyone know if there is going to be a 5th series of The Last Detective made ?
In my opinion series 4 was the best yet and it would be a shame not to see a 5th series made.
Has anyone heard anything? I haven't heard the series has been axed so that must mean there is a chance of a 5th series.
yesterday on "Drama Trails" they did an interview with Sean Hughes and it seemed as if they were reflecting very much in the past tense. he mentioned how he enjoyed doing it and also Peter Davison gave a short interview about his character.
do i think that there is another series out there ....YES but almost certainly getting dusty on the shelves. don't just take my word for it though.
a good examaple is one of the first series episodes first broadcast in 2003 , one of the actors was the late Kenneth MacDonald who played Mike Fisher the landlord of the nags head in only fools. he died in 2001 yet was in a 2003 episode which meant that it had been shelved for some reason.
I know Peter Davison's has finished his long run doing Spamalot so hopefully we will get Series 5.
I have little faith in ITV though :-(

I think that if there was a season 5, Dangerous would've been divorced from that bitch Julie (who finally would've left London to become a mob doctor in New York), he'd be dating Mrs Fulljames instead, Pimlott and Barrett would be nicer after Aspinall gets arrested for a murder he didn't commit, Pimlott would finally be seeing a redhaired female pahtologist (Robin Weaver), Mod would get kidnapped in the first episode and we'd probaly meet Mod's father (the late Frank Kelly)
I love Philip Winchester and Scott Tracy like hell
