In case no one understood....
Did anyone understand the parts where the grandmother rubbed her chest? I had to watch this twice to understand it meant 'I'm sorry'.

I got it the first time, and it was really sad. Funny when the grandson used it quickly and ran away from that boy. The Mad cow was GREAT.

shareCheol-Yee (I think that's his name) told Sang-Woo that he didn't have to apologize twice when he said "I'm sorry." If you remember, Sang-Woo rubbed his chest the first time, so naturally, the rubbing of the chest meant "I'm sorry."
shareAt first, i thought she meant i love you, also since, he signed it to the grandmother before he gets on the bus, and naturally the grandmother would say that to her grandson, but it actually means i'm sorry. funny that the grandmother should be sorry about ANYTHING in regards to this boy!!! yes, it's sign language, but I'm Sorry is usually signed, using your right hand into a fist, and making a circle in the middle of your chest, around, once.
shareWell, that's American Sign Language. My guess is that sign language is a least a little bit different in Korea. And how would a woman living out in the boondocks learn proper sign language? She probably made up all the signs herself.
sharei got from the start, that gesture of rubbing hands on chest(sounds dodby) also means sorry in the British Sign Language too bu i'm not sure about the other gestures, i think they were made up to make the 'grandson' understand and possibly everyone else too.
How do i know, the rest of family is deaf, minus me so there you go!
