Wife wins the award for most oblivious human ever.

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit, all the quirks of story and character. Still, I have to say a person would have to work pretty hard at being as clueless as his wife in this.

To kill his pet pig as a surprise for his birthday - hilariously stupid. How could she possibly avoid noticing how much he loved that pig? Not that I find it implausible. She was so wrapped up in her pregnancy that she didn't give him or his desires a moment's thought.
