Hilarious

I can't think of many reasons to recommend this film other than as an absolutely hilarious spoof. Everything about this film just feels like a parody of so many horror films it is almost impossible to take it seriously. You really have to see this movie to believe how truly bad some films can get.

I agree. This is worth watching for the unintentional comedy value (Standout moment; Dean Cain, feet up on the desk, idly flicking through a book with "Advanced Biology" in bold printed on front) You wont believe how bad this film is.

reply

You've got that right. Dean Cain is by far the only one with any acting ability; the character of "Cookie" is just ridiculous, and the dragon itself as well as the other special effects are unbelieveably cheesey.

I'd take the 5th Amendment, but I can't count that high

oh man... "cookie"...! I laughed so hard at "Cookie" I thought I was gonna die.

reply

I love movies like this almost as much as I do high budget movies.

Ramones, the best band ever.

I agree that the bilogy book (was that a workbook?) and the cookie scenes were hilarious, but what finally did it for me was when the Dr. during the escape in the helicopter opens the door to try and take the picture. I lost it right there. Great camp flick. My wife and I died laughing. I don't know if you saw it or not but in one scene before you learn about cookie. He's got headphones on and is jamming to music. Funny...

I Agree to 100%

this is the worst movie i ever seen, ever!

Zeppo replies: You people want to rent more films, I've seen far worse than this one! This was coherent and competant, more than I can say for films like 'Deathwarp,' Thor the Conqueror,' Trial by Vengeance' or Adam Sandler in 'Overboard.' Now, THAT is a stinker par excellant!
Dragon Fighter wasn't the best film I've ever seen but there are so many more worse films out there, you wouldn't believe!! LOL -

I agree some of the acting was not the best, but it was not that bad of a film and hits some very serious points. The dangers of cloning, especially in the wrong hands. Why there are legends of dragons in area with out native large reptiles. That a persons "job" does not indicate how smart they are. ie Carver is a highly intliigent and smart military officer in more then just military stuff. The head of the facillity was higly intelligent bad was very stupid. Ok I like this film.

Both movies were produced by UFO, Unified Film Organization, a cheese refinery based out of Sofia and LA. They specialize in low-grade cheese and crank it out nearly 2 movies a year, mostly for the Sci-Fi Channel. Not just most of the crew are the same, also the locations and props are the same in most of their movies.

did anyone like thsi film?

reply

Well I bought this for $2 in the discount bin and, well it might have been worth that. I bought partly because Dean Cain was in it but any acting ability seems wasted in flick.

I was watching it with my house mate and we were poking fun at it all the way through. I like the film, but not because it's good.

How do we get MST3K to watch it with their "own" pithy analysis?

Only demons should fear me...
