Gerard McSorley

Brilliant performance by the guy. He only has to be onscreen to ooze menace.

Absolutely bloody terrifying performance.

Also great at comedy too - see the Christmas Special of Father Ted.

Ha, I had totally forgotten he was in Father Ted as well!

So was Graham Norton. Father Ted sure was the stepping stone for a lot of Irish talent.

Thought Ciaran Hinds owned him actingwise as Gilligan owned Traynor IRL. Menacing yes...caause of his power. But he is that kinda badass that looks like your friendly neighbor. That is real life but Gilligan is way too simple and pure evil without any nuance to be remotely interesting.Liked his punches though, not cause of misogony but cause she was so beyond stupid, provoking and fearless, reality struck hard.

Traynor being manipulated, liking the spotlight, being the guy who gets her shot but in the end gives her an out that isn´t his decision and makes him a bad man that is pretty human, complex character...."Things can always get worse,Veronica."

Hinds plays the sleazeball very understated and has you guessing.Too bad he doesn´t get better roles.
