Great but...

I've watched this movie since I was about 16 and now at twenty I still find this funny.

NOT FOR KIDS really but then again, look at Icarly and Victorious on Nickelodeon. There was one full episode of Victorious where the whole cast (all in there teens) were half naked in a trailer van. In icarly, all Sam does is pick on Freddy; repeatedly hitting him for no reason. I can go on forever about those horrible shows and don't get me started on The Fred Show...

How is Dr. Seuss not for kids?

It isn't Dr. Suess. It was only loosely based on his book & written by the guys behind Eurotrip. The original book was pretty short & couldn't be stretched into a 2 hr movie. Being deceased, Dr. Suess had no input into the movie's creation. His former wife (and handler of estate) hated the adaptation & cut ties with the producers before they could make a sequel.

That aside, most of those who defend this as a "kids" movie claim that it's harmless because the jokes went over their head. But it that's true, why should any kid bother watching it?
