Preview

I saw the preview for Bad Eggs when I saw The Matrix Reloaded last weekend. Being written and directed by Tony Martin, the comedy genius behind many of The Late Show skits, and various stints on radio, I expected a lot of laughs. If the preview is anything to go by, I think I'm going to be disappointed with the finished product. Mick Molloy should be good in the lead, after a successful debut with Crackerjack. I'm not too sure about Franklin, he looked out of place. He's not bad in a stand-up capacity, but seemed almost annoying in this role, at least from what I saw. It'll be interesting to see the early reviews when this is released.

I just saw this and really liked it, although i think The Castle was better as Aussie comedies go.
I really liked Franklin - hw was my favourite in this movie.

Really?? I think Franklin is an awful standup/live performer (if you saw any of the interviews the two guys gave, Mick totally stole the show) because he seems bored with what he's doing and unsure of himself... but this scripted part was so perfect for him, i never laughed so hard in my life as i did at most of his scenes, he was brilliant.

you shouldn't judge a film by its actors, by the way! otherwise most of the time you WILL be left disappointed (sorry to preach) :)
