I am in Australia & watched '9/11' last night. It was very affecting & I agree that it should be played every year on September 11th.
They played it at 11.30pm Australian time, which is about the time the attacks actually happened in the US. This added even more weight to the movie because I kept thinking 'This was happening exactly seven years ago, almost to the minute.'
It was horrific to watch the footage that was shot from inside the lobby, especially hearing the noise from the bodies hitting the ground. To be there & hear that over & over again & know there was nothing you could do to help those people who were jumping must have been horrendous.
To be standing in the lobby of one tower when the tower next door collapsed - it is beyond comprehension. I felt sick just watching, I can't imagine what it must have been like to be in New York at the time.
More than once I was reduced to tears from the sheer horror of the situation. Who could ever have believed something like this could happen?
As I watching I thought 'No one can watch this footage & seriously believe the conspiracy theories.'
People watch the conspiracy films but have they ever watched this documentary? I think it would change their minds. It is easy to judge & scrutinise from a distance, but watching this film, you feel as though you are in the city. You can feel the horror, the confusion, the fear & the disbelief.
People everywhere in the world should never forget what happened that day.
