This should be aired on TV every year on 9/11

I only saw it once and what an impact it had. I think Americans need to be reminded, they are most complacent people on the planet.

Today on the so called LIBERAL MSNBC they rebroadcast the original airing of the Today Show as it happened live.

MSBC was the only one doing this.

I was in England on 9/11/01 so I never saw the American coverage.

Yet other than the History Channel there is nothing really regarding 9/11 on tonight.

"Those who forget history on condemned to repeat it".

I am in Australia & watched '9/11' last night. It was very affecting & I agree that it should be played every year on September 11th.

They played it at 11.30pm Australian time, which is about the time the attacks actually happened in the US. This added even more weight to the movie because I kept thinking 'This was happening exactly seven years ago, almost to the minute.'

It was horrific to watch the footage that was shot from inside the lobby, especially hearing the noise from the bodies hitting the ground. To be there & hear that over & over again & know there was nothing you could do to help those people who were jumping must have been horrendous.
To be standing in the lobby of one tower when the tower next door collapsed - it is beyond comprehension. I felt sick just watching, I can't imagine what it must have been like to be in New York at the time.
More than once I was reduced to tears from the sheer horror of the situation. Who could ever have believed something like this could happen?

As I watching I thought 'No one can watch this footage & seriously believe the conspiracy theories.'

People watch the conspiracy films but have they ever watched this documentary? I think it would change their minds. It is easy to judge & scrutinise from a distance, but watching this film, you feel as though you are in the city. You can feel the horror, the confusion, the fear & the disbelief.

People everywhere in the world should never forget what happened that day.

Maybe its because CNN did the whole 'live as it happens' a few years ago?
People don't want to continually be reminded of that horrible day - but I do agree that of all the shows and films, this one should be played.

I think its more of a copyright/rights problem than a 'networks don't wanna show it' problem.

Ironic you should post on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

But yes, I believe these documentaries need to be shown to every conspiracy nut (before they're hauled off the the rubber room -jk).

i totaly agree this documentary stay for me the best on this subject, and curiously filmed by 2 french (they arent the same who give you the statue of liberty ? or helping you with lafayette ? etc...)
so dont forget french and our long friendship, this kind of thing should be reminded to american people too.

and dont take this comment like an offense, its a comment.

MSNBC probably did it because they have no significant audience. They're able to play around with their programming because they don't have million-plus draws in their normal line-up. Bet it was a significant ratings boost for them too.

You are so right
They should air this religiously on 9/11 no matter what
But then again last year on the JFK assassination anniversary not a single word was mentioned. I think that was wrong.
Back to 9/11 it was a touching portrayal of the firefighters. Not many made it back but the whole fire house from this documentary made it back.
They should air it for those firefighters
They should air it for the ones who didn't make it back

It might be a nice idea but I am not sure if it will ever happen where it will be shown on TV, even by a TV station. But I would like to mention that if you are still itching to watch this movie it is on dvd, and has long been on dvd. So you can get it on dvd so that might be the way to watch this movie every September 11th, or as many times as you want the rest of the year. After all it is not like a Christmas movie, or one of the other few holiday movies where you would pretty much watch it during that season. Where for example you might start watching Christmas movies (if you celbrate Christmas) maybe right about Thanksgiving and then on all the way through in December and then maybe stop watching Christmas movies eitheron Christmas day, or a few days later for just a one last chance to watch.
