Saw it, loved it.

We need more things like this! It was an amazing thing to watch and the whole theatre was so enthralled! I have just reached that point in my life when a film like this is not entertainment, but neccessity. Thanks to the filmmakers!

I have just ordered the DVD and look forward to watching it myself. Hoping that it lives up to your recommendation, and to the many words of praise that it has recieved elsewhere. Having liked the music for a while, it has taken me a long time to discover that the 1Giant Leap project is actually more than a set of eclectic modern world-music tracks, but that it in fact represents a lot more. Its a shame that the radio stations who enthusiastically give air time to the tracks fail to mention the idea behind the project. Which makes it all that more exciting and thought provoking.

FWIW, I had the CD, loved it, rented the DVD, loved it, and then bought the DVD.

Hey, I have a question for you since you bought the DVD. Does it come with all the songs, or is it more just like a documentary? What I mean is, would buying the DVD get you all the songs, or should I buy the CD as well? And if all the songs are on the DVD, are they super spread-out or is there a feature to just play the music all at once like an album?

I want to send the DVD to a friend. But not owning it myself, I don't want to send him something that doesn't have the music on it, which is truly what this is all about. Thanks in advance for the info.

Do I contradict myself?
Very well then, I contradict myself.

I'm sure, almost seven years later, that you probably either found out for yourself or sent the DVD to your friend. As far as I know, the DVD has all the songs, so having the CD would be redundant unless you wanted it in that format. You can also play just the songs instead of the whole film if you choose that option.

But it doesn't seem like many people care about CDs these days anyway, which is why you can find so many excellent titles for so little money.

I'm in the midst of watching this. I'm enthralled...it's a beautiful work, a seamless blending of the music, philosophy, and art of many varied cultures. You see the differences between them, yet also see how all are somehow linked.
