Have Heimat I + III but not Heimat II
So I've seen Heimat I not long ago, I also have the final 3rd series but I don't have the 2nd series.. Would it be a bad idea to just skip the 2nd season and watch the 3rd series?

Hello atik10! I have recently watched Heimat 1 and most of Heimat 2 series on DVDs my father bought, and also one episode of Heimat 3.
In my opinion, Heimat 2 is probably the best of the series. It seems that if your fully going to appreciate Heimat 3, you should probably watch Heimat 2, simply for the interesting backstory on the main characters Hermann and Clarissa, which make up the core of the Heimat 2 story.
Although the story in Heimat 3 seems to stand pretty much on its own, I would suggest watching Heimat 2 first. The DVD probably isn´t cheap though, if you want to buy it.
