Why would Kate approve of Rory and the Dad going to Hooters?

I'm aware it's a father son bonding activity but to go to Hooters and come on to waitresses at Hooters this seems highly inappropriate since Paul is a married man, it sends the wrong message to his son, also if she's about those car and motorcycle magazines are degrading to women where they wearing very revealing skimpy bikinis it doesn't seem logical she would approve of this given that Hooters is a mancave where the female waitresses have their bodies shown in off in skimpy tight revealing outfits.
