I agree it was probably because it wasn't making them enough ad dollars but I hope someone else picks it up for a syndication run soon

It will never happen , all of the actors are busy on other projects (sons of Anarchy,The Bing Bang theory..) and too many years has passed , the show unfortunately is not relevant anymore. It would be like bringing Kyle XY back , would be a bit silly and a HUGE camble. 8 Simple rules do not have enough of a following for a comeback.

I fear there has been some confusion, I meant the reruns on ABC Family not the show itself.

There weren't enough episodes. Usually you want 4-5 seasons to put it on syndication. Otherwise they keep running the same loop again and again and again.

i loved the show with Ritter & it was still awesome without him even though i was sad he was gone....but everyone had really great chemistry & comedic timing & i loved that about it!

Yeah they just did a while ago. To my knowledge this is the first time since I used to watch it almost everyday.

I'm not sure, I guess it looks like replaced it with The Middle, a more current show. Bummer.

We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?

There are only 76 episodes. I can see why they'd want to retire it once in awhile. Still a great show, but they run through the cycle pretty quickly.
