How didn't it make sense? and David Spade was freaking hilarious!

It was for the mom too. I know with raising my sister I've had to deal with guy issues.

John Ritter's widow gave her blessing for the show to go on. She said that's what John would have wanted.

I liked David spade on this show. It was pretty funny.
Looking forward to season 2 release on dvd.

I agree with you the show wasn't funny when Ritter Died. David Spade was annoying

reply

I most definitely disagree. The show got better when Ritter died. Not that I don't consider it a tragedy that Ritter died so young but hey, there are 4 other actors, to say nothing of all those crew people who still need to work and provide for their families. I found David Spade to be hilarious and James Garner is just such a polished, quality actor. I think the show got stronger as an ensemble show, instead of focusing on Ritter so much. I understand why they put Ritter center stage in Season 1 but the rest of the cast got so much better when the format of the show changed. I mean, Rory was basically an one trick pony in Season 1. He had so much more to work with in season two.

I actually preferred the Jim and CJ episodes.

reply

I actually disagree. I loved CJ and he was very easily my new favorite character. I mean the show was definitely different without John Ritter, but it wasn't bad at all

reply

I dislike David Spade, but that's not why I quit watching. John Ritter was the star of the show. It should not have continued. They should have ended it with the last episode I watched, the one about Paul's death. I hear they proceeded with the blessing of Amy Yasbeck, Ritter's widow. Had it been me, I probably would have said no.
