For a show to do so much to honor John Ritter, I really am amazed how they dropped the ball on "8 Simple Rules" by not giving the show any kind of closure... in the end it just sorta ends...
I think we can imagine what might happen next...
She marries Ed, maybe they all move together to New York, live in a small house in Brooklyn or Staten Island, I don't think they could afford much out there, but still, a bit of a shame the show ended so flat.

I just watched the final episode. Why do shows always do this and not give any closer. Irritates the hell out of me. But, that is one theory.

Yeah, if it would have continued I can see Cate and Gibb getting married. What else would have happened and how long they would have continued...I don't know.
Didn't they cancel it because the ratings were awful?
