Something I never thought about before (spoiler)

As we all know, Gromit is the smart and brave one of the duo; Wallace is cowardly and inept, and thus depends more on Gromit than he probably would admit. (Indeed, Gromit is such a faultless character that you wouldn't expect him to actually be funny.)

So it's interesting (even though I never thought about it before) how Wallace unhesitatingly sacrifices himself to protect Gromit toward the end of this movie. Sure, he's not really "himself" at the moment, but that seems to be beside the point.

It's like Wallace *can* be brave and selfless if the occasion calls... at least where his faithful friend is involved.
