no, it's just one of those things that the director was trying to achieve through casting. franka potente was supposed to be a more masculine and look more masculine of a character because that's the role she's playing for elijah's character, because he's playing the more vulnerable of the two. and not to be sexist and say that the feminine is always more vulnerable, but that's just the way it's always been and what everyone recognises. the twist is the female in the dominant position, and you were smart to notice it, even if it creeps you out a little.

She's ok in Run Lola run, though i first got to know her in Bourne Identity. Anyway, at no time did she look like a man. For me she was just natural and feminine. It was Mandy Moore that i thought looked a little unreal, in that she was too 'beautiful' to be a struggling anything.
