The end...

God, I love this movie, but the ending kind of defeats the film's entire purpose, doesn't it? I mean the message is about life...how nothing is permanent...loves are fleeting, all tied into the mom's beautiful quote (you can't stop some people, Jones...)Maybe the ending isn't real...just another fantasy, which would explain his handcuffing the guy and kissing bad hair chick. Thoughts?

i agree with you. when his mom was saying that quote I was sure it was gonna end like that and that she wouldn't come back. and in the end, riding the motorcycle I was sure that was it. i was a bit surprised when the girl came back but I dont think it was a fantasy, it was real. I guess they just ended it like that to give us a nice happy feeling. even if i didnt expect them ending up together, i must say that it left me with feeling happy for them. Anyway, it's one way to finish a story right?

i really hope that the final scenes (where his handcuffing the guy and throws cig to the other guy) were real coz they were pretty funny! I was like 'Go Jones'! :)
