i know what u mean!! i payed £20 4 this DVD! i felt well cheated... did it have a plot? nevermind... i mean at least it's got 1 perk - this being Elijah Wood.

I only rented it, luckily it was a free rental. As a beinging writer myself, I was deeply disappointed by the huge lack of plot, I mean my stuff isn't that great, but I could write better crap than that. Upside...Elwood! Love ya to death, but you picked a lemon this time buddy.

Yea I saw it just because it had Elijah in it and I didn't think it was that bad but the director pretty much only had sex on his mind when he decided to write it.

Speaking as one with a huge crush on Elijah UNTIL I saw this film, I strongly suggest you don't watch it. It put me right off and now, every time I hear a Blondie song, I cringe.

Well, call me crazy but I liked it. Yes, there are no life lessons to be learned but it was clever. I think people who say that there was no plot missed that he was a virgin and that was the whole point of the movie. I don't know, pretty good actors and I liked the way he drifted off.

I stumbled over this on TV and I found it to be very good. It was bittersweet and a different spin on the Romantic/Comedy/Drama. I also liked it because of Elijah, but I found it enjoyable and light-hearted. It didn't need much of a plot. It was just life thrown together. I really liked it.

Well, Call me crazy, I absolutely loved it! Not only does it have Elwood in it, but it's hilarious. That movie had me laughing so hard my side hurt. I mean, sure, there is no lesson to be learned from it, but it was quite entertaining. Elijah was absolutely adorable in it and so clueless to it all. I loved it. It's not the worst ever. Trust me, there are worse movies...

I rented it, started watching it, and then had to stop after about 10 minutes because I thought it was weird. A day later I started watching it again and ended up liking it a lot! I thought it was really cute and quirky. Not all the characters are fully developed, but the people Elijah lives with all teach him something. I thought Franka Potente did a really good job also. I think they started dating after making this movie, but I might be wrong.

It didn't cost me 17 pounds either but I still thought it was pretty good. I agree with the assessment above... 'life thrown together'.

I didn't think the dark haired girl looked like a transvestite, as is mentioned in another thread, though my general rule of thumb in life is to never trust any female with an accent, unless it's a Southern drawl.

i thought it wasn't the worst movie ever!! but it wasn't oscor worthy. i didn't care 4 either girl but if i had to choose it would have been mandy (character wise) but more beatiful it would be franka, she has more natural beauty...but mandy is very beatiful. like i said before elijah was definitly worth it..he looked sooOoOO good!!!!

im not sure about WORST movie, exactly... but yes, it WAS terrible!!!!!! i hated how jane developed that horrible accent, like, halfway thru, and how it would come and go throughout the rest of the movie... awful, awful, awful movie that it was... and chcakat... i dont understand u... i definately noticed that he was a virgin... however... i dont see how that was the whole point to the movie, and how, if it WAS the point ot the movie... how it could be considered a good movie with a good plot. honestly, the only movies i can think of where the fact the main character is a virgin is wat the movie is actually about, are those that are all about sex, and this person trying 2 GET sex... and that wasnt wat this was about... of course, im not sure wat the point of it actually WAS... but it wasnt the fact he was a virgin

I don't know if it was the worst movie ever because I love it so much. I didn't notice the fake accent thing because I know sometime people's accents get a more than a little muddled when they're in a place for too long. I know mine does. Also, im pretty sure the movie wasn't about him being a virgin, probably just what it stands for, innocence. Im not saying it had the best plot because the way whoever wrote the copy for the movie was obviously an idiot or didn't get the movie, I think. And the movie doesn't help because it is confusing and deep and stuff.

It's a movie I'd watch everyday if I could. It has even helped me in the way of moving on with that line in the movie towards the ending, "Some people come into your lives destined to leave it." I guess because I beleive things happen for a reason, like meeting the people you do. I thought, the movie was about (fear of) rejection and abandonment, lonliness, unfulfilled desires and needs, and holding on to yesterday. Brutal honesty in the real world, I guess. It wasn't about the sex. I think it's all a cover and besides, a 17/yo boy always has sex on the brain anyway. I don't think there is a real solid plot, just a "who am i"? kinda thing. It's real hidden. But that's a story for you. It might've had a weak plot, but it had a point. The character Jones tries to fufill what he thinks is missing in his life, like his father and in a way most of the characters are.

Who said it HAD to have a plot?

I liked it for it's odd lack of plot. I thought it was great the way it is.
Something different. Interesting.

All the actors were good, and you could see the story behind it, and the stories behind all the characters.

Well.. it wasn't the WORST movie ever.. there's about 9237492375 other horrible mistakes that great actors made. i suppose. i would give an example, but i really can't think of one at the moment..

well, anyway, the plot wasn't so bad.. it was a bit funny.. kind of.. quirky.. interesting, i suppose. but.. overall, it wasn't a very good movie..

i mean, elijah's hot and mandy and franka are beautiful talented actresses... but.. they made a sad, sad mistake...

the sadest thing is, it was made in vancouver (i'm pretty sure i herd mandy say that on a commentary)... *sigh*... it's sad being from canada sometimes. (Canadians, don't kill me for saying that. i love canada and all. but. meh.)
