7th year in a row.

This is my little Thanksgiving tradition once I've ate. Seven years and counting.

Anyone else watch it?

I guess I'll cut my losses, and turn my tricks at the magic show..

My wife and I watch this every Thanksgiving. Have for several years. A truly great film that does not get its due. Patricia Clarkson should have at least been nominated and should have won an Independent Film Award.

It doesn't always happen, but my family likes to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas after Halloween, Pieces of April and Home for the Holidays around Thanksgiving, and It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (Alastair Sims version), and Love Actually around Christmas.

I love all these movies, and all have moving moments, but Pieces of April is the most intimate and visceral. It moves me the most.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Canadian or otherwise)

This will be my fifth year of watching it on Thanksgiving. I started a year after I bought the DVD. And this year I will be pairing it with Planes Trains and Automobiles.

I really love this film (and it's one of the few I actually like Katie Holmes in, the other being Wonder Boys). I love the tenement building she lives in and think the writer does a great job of ending the story.

I watch it every Thanksgiving. (and every Christmas, I watch The Company with Neve Campbell and James Franco). I'm surprised to discover that both films were made in 2003!

I have seen this movie randomly when it comes on TV. At least 3 times now. I guess it's the beginning of the season, even though Hallowe'en is not yet here.

For me, the double feature would be:

"Pieces of April" followed by
"Planes, Trains and Automobiles"

Just because...that second one's been around and watched for a LONG time now.
But "Pieces of April" is one of the best movies for any time of year.
Katie Holmes and the entire cast is outstanding. As is the story and direction.

Why watch Hollywood when Indies are this good?????

i started watching this movie because in the massive overabundance of Christmas movies this is one of the few movies about Thanksgiving. it has now become a tradition of mine as well. so much to love in this movie, love Sean Hayes performace as well as Patricia Clarkson, Katie Holmes and Oliver Platt. it's a little gem of a movie IMO and i'm glad i found it!
