Such a interesting collection of characters

Such a lousy story and shit effects.

I swear this movies Mr Hyde is second only to the Harry Potter Werewolf in shittiness.

Esterhowse, as in Mrs. Esterhowse from Caddyshack 2?

This movie was messy. But, it's a product of the time. The Alan Moore comics were okay. Not his best, but entertaining enough.

" Mrs. Esterhowse from Caddyshack 2?"

Naw, Esterhowse from Tinker, Soldier, Sailor, Spy.

"But, it's a product of the time."

It was a complete disaster and looked like shit when it was released.

A lot of movies back then did. Daredevil, tomraider, the Hulk , the matrix reloaded, etc... aside from the lord of the rings, it wasn't a great year for CGI.

As for the story, it was bad.

The first 2 LoEG comic series were excellent. Goes downhill hard after that though. But true, not his best.

The movie seemed to know how to make all the wrong changes. They seriously portrayed every character wildly differently than what was in the comic. They are virtually nothing alike.

Moore was determined to disassociate from the project.

I don't blame him.

After watching it a few times, my only real complaint was the pacing. It's not a bad film, but it really feels rushed. I also didn't like the promise of a "sequel" when we never got one. And yes, Mr. Hyde feels like a Victorian version of "The Hulk." I would put this in the category of a "popcorn film," something fun and not too serious that you or the teens can watch on a summer afternoon and then go about your business.
