List of characters who could be main antagonists of League movies

Over the years on this board, a lot has been talked about, some of us have very different ideas on where this movie's remake can go, but here's a question not before asked.

How many characters do we think there are who can be the main antagonist of a movie like this. There are thousands of literary villains but some of them just seem to fit as betas or early on enemies more than they could be the main big bad.

So let's see how many we can come up with who could be that antagonist. I suppose for the sake of reality we should probably stick to ones that are in the public domain or are owned by Fox right now, but we can add others for the sake of thinking. And well this movie deviated far from the comics, so the world's not ending if some people list characters not in the comics here either.

I'm posting this before coming back with my own list, as I want to think about it some more myself. So lets list us some bad guys.

EDIT: My suggestions

For starters this movie's Professor Moriarty is an obvious. As would be the Martians/Molluscs from War of the Worlds.

As far as others, I'd put Dracula, Fantomas and some version/variation on the Bogeyman to the front of the list.

Others like Fu Manchu, Ayesha, Oliver Haddo, perhaps even Big Brother or Harry Lime (with or without also being the Greyfriars Kids) are possible but I think would need better scripting than the above five.

And for a more out of left field suggestion, how about The Shadow from Hans Christian Andersen's story, that could make a creepy bad guy who you could have be alive for any time period.
