Worst Jet Li Flick

Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty big Jet Li fan, but this movie was just plain awful. I couldn't stand it. Granted the acting may not be great in many martial arts films, but they can still be fun to watch. I think this movie had a lot of potential, but it failed to deliver in every possible way especially in the fight scenes.

You're right. By no means the best Jet Li movie ever made. The script would have been solid with a bit of polishing. More explanation behind the underlying concept of could have made this movie easier to stomach.

That said, the concept behind it was good and the martial arts scenese carried it. That said - I don't care what anyone says - the ending was awesome, a defiant Yu Law on top of a tower kicking the sh*t out of convicts finished the lacklustre outing well enough.

I agree with you that the ending was pretty enjoyable (and a bit humorous hearing Jet Li say the word "-itch." And I also think the film also had its moments. However, the fight scenes in the movie disappointed me the most. The best fight sequence in the entire movie was the first one, which did not last very long. The climatic fight scene with Jet Li vs. Jet Li was laughable in my opinion.

What is this world coming to when people review movie documentaries. ;-)
