sequel

I wonder how a sequel set at Hanukkah, since this one was set at Passover? I know this one wasn't good, but I liked it okay. They should do it quickly because Kirk is already in his 90's.

I would not mind a sequel taking 10-13 years after the first movie. It would be after Cameron leaves prison, of course. It'd be interesting to see how the Gromberg family has changed since then.

I doubt Kirk will be living in the next five years.

The writers can figure something out without Kirk, should he pass before a sequel even happens.

I guess they could still use Michael and his son and maybe just mention his parents.

A sequel is practically necessary for this movie. Here's what I think should happen,

In the event of Kirk Douglas' death, (or if he's physically unable to do it.) Have his character die and the family coping with it.

I also want to know what happens to the girlfriend. Does she go to prison for the drug charges, or does Michael Douglas help get the charges thrown out, (since she didn't even know about the pot.)

I also would like to see more conflict with the youngest son.

Maybe they could have Michael and his wife divorce in the movie since they had problems and have Catherine Zeta Jones play his second wife. That would be interesting.

reply

I think it would too.
