relationships!spoiler !max/marie/rancel/vic tor?

what exactly were the relationships with max, rancel and marie!was victor the son of max and marie?i assume max was bisexual?and rancel his lover?not sure if marie had any relationship with rancel or was just jealous and wished to get him out of the way by betraying him!thanks anyone for input?

You got it right. Just a simple love triangle: Max and Rancel were lovers and Marie (also in a relationship with Max) was jealous and wanted to get rid of Rancel. Marie and Rancel did not have any kind of relationship whatsoever. And yes, Victor is indeed the son of Max and Marie.
