Coldplay

I am a huge fan of coldplay and of 'Parachutes' and 'A Rush of Blood to the Head'. So when I saw the ending of this movie, i was a little bit discorouged. "Clocks" which ends this movie ("Clocks" also is used in 'Peter Pan' and 'In America') was a very bad choice to end this movie. "Clocks" is one of the most beautiful songs and it was misused here. Anyone else feel this way?

I know, I'm a dork, but I really love coldplay.

I thought it was cool to play that song.
It made the ending so much better.

reply

I liked it.

I sick of hearing 'Clocks' used in like billions of other movies, tv shows and advertisement. However - I thought it was actually used quite well at the end of the movie!

reply

how did the song relate to the story though?

reply

really? my sister and I both think it is one of the best ending songs to a movie ever! :P

the song rocks, its amazing, itll basically make any movie ending great... but it just didnt fit for this movie can u explain why u guys thought it fit?

reply

I'm not exactly sure, we just thought it worked awesome with the final scene. We both luv the song though, so maybe it's just the fact that it was that song! But I'm not talking the words of the song, just the sound of it with the final scene was tonnes cool I thought!

reply

aight, thats coo

reply

I think that it is starting to be over used, although it is an awesome song.

reply

I thought that it was as well misused at the end of the movie. I was glad to see someone else thought so too.

Hey, at least it wasn't All Star, by Smashmouth. Isn't that song at the end of every movie/trailer?

reply

I thought it was a good song to end with, sure it had nothing to do with the story but since when does that matter?

Did "Little Green Bag" have anything to do with the story of Reservoir Dogs?

I completely agree. I just watched the movie for the first time last night and I too felt that the song didn't fit. It is a good song, but it really didn't fit with the end.

I am too a big Coldplay fan and I totally disagree with your statement. Listening to the song "Clocks" from the album "A Rush of Cold Blood to the Head" at the last part of the movie when they had successfully accomplished their heist was used very well (To the point where I can't think of another song that they could've used as well as Coldplay's song). When I listen to the song "Clocks" it's like having a breath of fresh air, when I'm having a bad day it feels like everything is okay when I listen to it because it's a beautiful song. My final point- When the song is played at the end of the movie, when the characters are rolling down in a convertible, it expressed the mood that they were in, like they were finally able to breathe after they had accomplished something that seemed impossible- that song really stood out because I understood how they felt at that time.

Thank you!! I was thinking the exact same thing.

when that opening piano tune began, I was like "huh? Why is that playing?" Thanks for pointing that out. It was unfortunately a bad choice.
