Stupid

What a stupid and boring movie that was. The problem with this movie is that it tries so hard to be funny and it's not even funny. The talents of some great actors were wasted.I wasted 2 hours, spare yourself.

I couldn't disagree more with the previous poster on this thread. I thought it was alternately charming, gripping, amusing, insightful. I loved it.

I also like that the director has a real sympathy for each of these characters - none is black and white - and none is static - each changes under the force of circumstance and yet remains true to essential character.

This is a lovely one - and it's a pity you didn't see that.

Hmmm . . . I can't imagine that anyone who is humane could dislike this film. As the other poster commented, the director was excellent in not creating the characters as 'only good' and 'only bad'.

But I've now seen that you have given only very negative comments to other good films . . .

I'm with you, this movie was intolerably boring. Main problem, for me, was a very scattered plot that took years to get anywhere (and how about picking his cuffs with that fork? did anybody really buy that?). Squeezed one laugh out of me when the cops find him with the body in the trunk, but that isn't a new joke either (I think the last time I saw it was on Malcolm in the Middle).

Boring movie. Melodrama without comedy. After 30 minutes I looked at how long I had watched already and groaned, it was going nowhere, or really slow, and the melodrama w/o comedy was starting to get irritating.

Main problem with this film is it's pacing and it's scattered storyline that tries to do everything at once.

You can tell an adventurefilm director directed this because there's not a slow scene anywhere in the film. Constant nonstop action and moving cameras gets exhausting after a while.
