NYC to LA

Does anyone know when the show moved from NYC to LA? Am I mistaken, and the show was always shot in LA? It's sad this show couldn't have lasted a little longer. I must admit, the writing and execution could have been better, but it's obvious how painfully difficult it was for zach to take his own show seriously because the concept and channel are grade A *beep* -- It's also sad his new pilot with A.D.
