Mexican statue

Cant recall episode title but they notice it on a new neighbor yard and go crazy. Im part P.R. and perhaps don't get the issue.

So can someone explain if it was or wasn't racist statue?

reply

It's called George Can't Let Sleeping Mexicans Lie.

Anyway, nobody else who watched that episode really seemed to agree with George, so I'm not sure.

That type of statue is akin to having an Aunt Jemima doll or a black lawn jockey in the yard. It's an insulting stereotype.

I hate to say this and plus I knew a dude who said this too and plus Oprah had a searing commentary on this subject a few years ago. And it's that a lot of old-school and/or people over 60 are either TOTALLY set in their ways and/or incredibly prejudiced. Some people you just can't change.

That old man who put that statue on his lawn was really on some dumb and racist ish. I'm glad George checked him and that Max went over to the old dude's lawn and smashed the statue.
