The first Wallander I wasn't keen on.

Yes I'm one of those who has watched every available episode ( thanks to the Beeb)
But this tale is the first one I've come close to giving up on. ( and not a fan of Branagh versions either but did watch them)
It's not the story or the actors that have spoiled it.
Put simply it's the camera technique that was used in far too much of the story..the sudden blasts of light,half seen images that are flashed ( it really is overdone) then gone plus the rather weird grainy effect that keeps being used.
I've actually had to turn away several times because of the flashing....

It's a shame that a more conventional approach wasn't used because the cast are great and do a good job but this really is an oddball in Wallander canon.
