They could have killed him in the remake as well. Plus, more people should have eaten alive. This movie could have been a LOT scarier than it was.

But I will say, Crispin Glover delivered a superb performance! I think he's a brilliant actor.

I think it was intended to be more psychological than scary in a gross way. It was about Willard and the other stuff was just a means to show him to us. Not about blood and guts. But as always, that is just my opinion. Hope it's useful!

P.S. Crispin was amazing! On that we agree.

has anyone ever seen River's Edge? I actually like Crispin myself, but good god he was bad in that movie. I mean, would anyone believe him as a tough metalhead? Maybe it was just a bad casting job or something but it left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

"River's Edge" has one of Crispin's best performances, if not the best. Just watch it closely.

I liked River's Edge, but I think Crispin's best performance was in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
