Dubbing is terrible

I love this movie, but I noticed the last time I watched it that the audio dubbing is really bad throughout the film. When the characters mouths move, the audio does not match what they are saying. This is noticeable throughout most of the film but particularly in R. Lee Ermey's scenes.

Has anyone else noticed this???

It is because the film was edited from it's original R Rated version to a toned down PG-13 at the distributor's request after some test screenings, before the film's release. Some gore was cut, and some profanity and crude dialogue (almost all from R. Lee's character) was dubbed over. It is a shame they did not release a director's cut DVD. The bonus features on the disc are extremely extensive, so I don't know why they could not give us that as well. I love this film, but I bet the original version is even better.

I hate it when they tone down a movie for a rating. If its meant to be an R, let it be an R.
