Scary?

Is this movie scary or just twisted?

Good news, they didn't get run over... Bad news, they're still flat

"The real Rod Ferrell is actually quite cute"

Are you insane? The man bludgeoned two people to death with a crowbar. One until he could see the brains oozing and the other he laid his mark “V”. Then he went and bragged about it. He was found to be seriously mentally ill and if he hadn’t killed Heather’s parents he admitted that he would end up killing someone else. I don’t understand why so many girls are claiming that Rod is “Hot” or that they are “In love with him” IMO it's retarded. Here is a link to what he looks like now and a link to his confession. “Quite cute” honestly…

I would probably watch it for the sexiness that is Drew Fuller.

I didn't think it was scary but that sort of thing doesn't scare me. Love it to bits though. As for the real Rod being hot... Yeah, for a goblin maybe. He's not particularly attractive and while I see where he was coming from killing Heather's parents because she made out that they were beating her (in real life, I'm a little sad it wasn't touched on in the movie but meh. ) Doesn't make it right but I see where he was coming from. As much as I love the movie, there were a few inconsistencies and things they left out that I was a little disappointed by like his relationship with Star (apparently what Rod's mother Sondra calls herself) or the fact that Janine, NOT Heather was his girlfriend. He saw Heather as a daughter if anything. That's what I gathered from reading about it anyway. Either way, Rod Ferrell (the real one, not Drew Fuller) didn't particularly have the look of a vampire (I'm not talking in terms of gothness) I know that sounds odd but he didn't. He looks too much like a goblin.

I meant at that time. I was just trying to make a point that he was never with Heather. I should ahve made myself clearer.

i havnt seen the movie yet but i want to. but in response to everyone arguing over whether rod ferrell is hot or not. he isnt that bad looking. drew fuller is way cuter though.

"he isnt that bad looking"

Maybe you should look up the pictures of what he did to the Wendorfs or read about his psychotic rants. Maybe you find attractive the fact that he thought of himself as the Antichrist or the fact that he said if he didn't kill Heather's parents he would have killed someone else.

Oh, but what matter does it make that Rod Ferrell is a confessed murder as long as he isn't that bad looking. Do you even know how retarded that sounds?

BTW, the movie is crap.

Okay, first; no the movie isn't scary, unless your really really easy to scare. It's twisted in the sense that it's based on a true story, so the f-cked up kids you see in the film are actually real people, just portrayed by more glamorous and appealing people.

And as for the person saying it's retarded to think that a murderer is hot. THAT is retarded and ignorant. Like wiccanfae said, Ted Bundy is an example of an attractive murderer. That is how some serial killers were able to attract so many of their victims because of their appealing physical appearance.

You may not think that Roderick is attractive but people have different taste. Just because he's not appealing to you, doesn't mean his isn't to others.

I've never found any of them attractive, but like I said, everyone has different taste. Just because I find someone ugly, doesn't mean that they ARE ugly. They just are to me. If that makes sense.

Yeah, I think they lost the whole idea of trying to inform viewers of what actually sort of happened, instead they wanted to glamourize them so it raked in a bigger audience, etc.

that is what they always do in these based on a true story movies they twist details and facts around to make the movie more exciting. Like have you ever seen the movie boys don't cry...That was based on a true story. I read the book written about what it was based on, and most of the facts in the movie were right but they changed *beep* around for dramatic effect like in the movie when the chicks girlfriend got shot she was there and she cried and held her dieing girlfriends body but in real life no one even knew her girlfriend was dead till the next day and it wasn't even her who found the body...Also in the book they only killed two people in real life three people were shot. They left out a bunch of *beep* haven't seen this movie yet I'll give my opinion on it after i watch it

I found this movie to be more disturbing than scary. The messed-up vampire kids were pretty twisted and freaky.
