Were Mitch and Micky married??? Not clear.

And what was Mickey's name when they met? And if not married and she didn't take his name, what was her name all those years?
No one in the film ever references the two having been married.
My understanding of it was that they started out as a duo (no personal relationship, just a professional one) and it gradually became a little more than that.
The way Mickey relates things post-breakup between her and Mitch in the film, it seems like she was more in love with the spectacle brought about by their relationship as the public viewed it than she was actually interested in Mitch. Though I think Mitch was (and still was in the time frame of the film) still holding on to feelings for Mickey (stronger feelings than she'd had for him). Then again I might be misinterpreting that entirely.
Then later, toward the end of the film, you see moments where she gets back in that mindset - where it seems like she's truly happy performing with Mitch - and Mitch seems somewhat calmer and focused as he's back performing with her. Then of course you're given the six month follow-up with the two which outlines what happened afterward.
