Did you ever use a particular squad to battle consiting of the best ones you had, or did you swap around? I used:

1. Golm (Ground/Rock)
2. Lugia (Psychic/Flying)
3. Meganium (Grass)
4. Typhlosion (Fire)
5. Feraligator (Water)
6. Raikou (Electric)

In my opinion, your best best is a Water, Fire, Grass and Electric plus either a Psychic/Dark/Ghost and the last one you use one of your own personal taste.

I have:
1. Ho-oh (Fire/Flying)
2. Lugia (Psychic/Flying)
3. Lapras (Water/Ice)
4. Snorlax (Normal)
5. Raikou (Electric)

They are all at level 100. As for the sixth slot, I am trying to obtain a Steelix (Steel/Ground) because it is resistant to so many types and has a sky-high defense, but it might be a while before I finally do. I caught a shiny Onix (It is light green, as though covered in moss) on Victory Road a couple of days ago, so I want to evolve it soon (I read that a shiny Steelix is gold in color). I may occasionally use Mew (when I get one) in Lugia's place and and Zapdos (when I get one) in Raikou's place.

My party is constantly changing, but the one I use the most is:
1. Typhlosion
2. Scizor
3. Togetic
4. Mewtwo
5. Snorlax
6. Quilava (I stopped his evolution)
and all of them are level 100

i was the first person in my town to own pokemon silver as i got it a year before it came out!

umm.... 5 years ago!!!
im 15 now so that means i was 10
i dont play stupid games anymore!
and my squad wasnt all 100 but were all mixed and strong!

ok - this guy - residentevil590 - is the only person with a pokemon team that i respect - all u other ppl hav lyk, mewtwo, or lugia, or suicune e.t.c in ur parties, when ppl who use non legendaries (i.e breedable and there are multiple of them in the game) are the ppl with true skill

btw. skarmory, blissey, dunsparce, growlithe(grew attached to it, dun wanna evolve it) magneton, alakazam

its kinda my rule that i always use Kanto pokemon when i fight i dunno why but i always do my team at present is,
Charizard lvl 100 Take Down,Flamethrower,Fly,Fire Blast

Gyrados lvl 79 Hyper Beam,Surf,Hydro Pump,Blizzard

Dragonite lvl 61 Hyper Beam,Thunder,Fire Blast,Blizzard

Zapdos lvl 83 Thundershock,Drill peck,Fly,Thunder

Chansey lvl 70 Softboiled,Egg bomb,Double edge,Psyhcic

Alakazam lvel 65 Pysbeam,Recover,Kineseis,Psychic

(sometimes i use a level 94 mewtwo but only if my oppenent has like 2 level 100 legenderys)

I try to win the game using only water pokemon, and I succeeded easily. It's a shame I can't get Kingdra and Politoad, though.

In gold, I have a lot of Pokemnon I trained, I started a game of Silver recently, with a more set squad, not got them at high levels yet but will before the Elite 4

Bayleef the starter pokemon
Scyther (Masamune) Called my Scizor in gold blade
Charmeleon (Charla)
Squirtle (Leonardo) ok unevolved, but Lv43, with Hydro pump
Skarmory (Fouler)
Dragonair (actually, only borrowing it from my gold game as there isn't much left in it to do, and I want to evolve it, planning to switch)

Donphan (Earth/Rock) - traded
Umbreon (Dark/Normal) - took lots of training with Eevee to get him
Dragonite (Dragon/Flying) -trained

Im just playing again for the nostalgia and im not even close to facing Red yet. I have all 8 badges (so far) and im leveling up for the Elite 4. So my party thus far is:

-Feraligatr (lvl 47)
-Kadabra (lvl 38)
-Lugia (lvl 40)
-Magmar (lvl 35)
-Lapras (lvl 25)
-Flaaffy (lvl 26)
