Mrs. Squeers's threat

What was Mrs. Squeers threatening to do to Nicholas in the scene wherein the Squeers are questioning the children to find out where Smike has gone? She said something about "you and I shall fall out in a way that will spoil your beauty." I couldn't figure out if she meant she'd poison or starve him, attack him with a knife, or falsely accuse him of something and have him thrown in jail.

I took it to mean that she would hit him across the face hard enough to scar permanently. Or just beat him in general so much that he wouldn't be so handsome to look at anymore. Keeping it vague makes it more menacing so that everyone can imagine whatever is most gruesome to them. :)
