Anne Hathaway: Another Good Girl Goes Bad

Why?!!! Why why why!!!?

Why is that every time a young actress or singer starts to get just a little bit of success, they suddenly feel the need to go away from the clean and good "family image they have made for themselves and smash it too bits.

It happens again and again, Lindsey Lohan, LeAnn Rimes, Britney Spears, Alyssa Milano, Tanya Tucker; the list goes on and on and on!

Now sadly, we must add Anne to this ever growing and shameful list, she has completely moved away from her previous good family films and image to something completely filthy and worthless, leaving behind what could have been a spotless legacy, of wholesome films ie PD 1 & 2, Ella Enchanted, Nicholas Nickleby, and Other Side of Heaven.

She has choosen to make at least 2 films (Havoc and Brokeback Mountain) that are completely vile and unfit for families and unworthy of her talents.

Boycott these films!! Show Anne that we want her back, and never again to dip in the slow of filth.

We love you Anne and want you to come back and make good family films, that will not compromise you or your image, you are too good for this.

As these movies haven't come out yet, I'm assuming you haven't seen them so can't exactly tell what her acting in them involves. Also, do you think that maybe she wanted to be in a serious movie, maybe a more intense drama or such to expand her acting abilities. I agree that it's shameful when actresses feel they have to become sex kittens of the like to be "successful" but just because an actress isn't doing a family film, or one rated PG, does not mean that they have challenged their morals. There are tasteful ways of doing things, take adult films that involve nudity, language, etc. but are completley wonderful and artistic (i.e. English Patient, Good Will Hunting, and MANY MORE). I think you should give Anne a break, after all, it's not like we're seeing her parade around in barely there clothes, thrusting her "assets" at cameras are we (like the actresses you mentioned)

Hey! There is nothing "vile" about those films, if you know the plot and theme behind it. Just because she decides to do some nudity, that doesn't make her any less of a person. If you can't see below the nudity stuff, then you are just ignorant. The reason she is nude is because she is doing a SEX SCENE!! It is her freedom of choice on whether or not she can do that. I have no problems with her doing that (people who do, usually associate nudity with sex or bad morals).

Actually depending on your own morals, you may find that they actually ARE "vile" films. However society adores amoral plots and characters like they had and has a fit whenever someone points out the lack of morals in them and whatnot. They;re not something I'd want my children to see.

Brokeback Mountain was NOT vile. It was a very tasteful piece. And her character, I think, was the best in the movie.

Angel,I hear you. Speak, I listen.

Thank You!
Honestly, boycotting films because the actress wanted to seem more versatile isnt right

Plus, Julie Andrews did a topless scene a long time ago (Though after sound of music and mary poppins), and what bad did it do her?

Anne will forever be my fave actress, and im going along with AnneHathawaylover on this. I'll support her.

Plus, Anne made a pointless script seem like it had a theme to it (Havoc) and whats so wrong with Brokeback?!

That's such crap. You're ridiculous, Anne is an ACTRESS. She's versatile, thank god she's not being typecast! I would hardly compare her to Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. GO ANNE!

Now. . . bring me that horizon

Anne is wonderful. I've seen her in "The Other Side of heaven," "Princess Diaries," "Ella Enchanted," "Nicholas Nichleby," etc. She is not losing he potential at all. She isn't dying her hair a completely hideous color that makes her look terrible, she isn't anarexic or balemic, she isn't singing (badly). What's wrong? I haven't seen Brokeback Mountian yet, but I have heard that everybody who has an open mind likes it. I still want to know what evidence there is of her being a "Another Good Girl Goes Bad." And she's also starting on Becoming Jane. Is there something bad about Becoming Jane because I sincerely would like to know it.

Actually, she may be quite a good singer, as she was apparently involved at an early workshop stage in the recent Lloyd Webber adaptation of "The Woman in White" in London's West End. Top marks to her for pulling out of that dud in time, though I hope she will do some prominent stage work soon... And I would like to hear her sing, out of curiosity.

I have seen Havoc and it has not changed my opinion of Anne Hatheway one bit. She is a good actress and as HKNUdSoN5 has put it, she has not done outragious things that would be horrible.

reply

She's hardly versatile.... she practically plays the same character in almost all her movies.

I'm appalled as well! I will never watch Havoc or Brokeback Mountain out of disgust!

By the way, do you see the lot, or just the top half?
