I'm like a HUGE Halo fan. And i always play it on xbox. But when i play online i get called names for being a girl and loving to play it. Sometimes i have to pretend that i'm a guy so that i can just have a good time online...:\.
And i get the same reaction at school too..:( Execpt i dont pretend to be a boy..XD
Is there any other girls who have the same problem?

I play online alot as well. I've rarely played with girls but when I do I have no problems with them. It's a better experience because they are not running their mouths all the time and I don't have to mute them.

I think I have half of Xbox Live muted on Halo 3. I know three other people who play (in real life), so they are the only ones I have on my friends list. I usually only play with them. But it sucks when they aren't online. I need more friends.

I got this for PC, if it worked properly I'd most likey go online and be pretty bad. Even if I was doign good agaisnt a person who wasn't that good or was the opposite gender to me I wouldn't make fun. I think it's cool that girls play games. It's not often I hear girls playing action games.

I dont have my xbox live yet, but i wouldnt have a problem with playing alongside girls, i really dont get what the big problem for many guys is either, maybe they are afraid of being killed by a girl, if thats the case i got one thing to say: LET EM HAVE IT!

But I am a girl and I really do hate playing with other girls because then they make it into some kind of competition. Since there are more guys who play than girls, I feel like the girls who are playing with me want to make it a competition--who's better?
So I ususally won't play with girls unless I know them.
Plus, there are some who sit there and flirt with guys they don't even know hahahahahah!

Kaitlyn Harwood,I'm not a girl but an older guy gamer.I know what you mean by alot of A-holes online.I'm pretty good on Halo 3.I dont play much matchmaking anymore because of the constant trashtalking.I like playing for fun no matter what but alot of them get serious.I dont have time for that.

Well, I just play and let my game do the talking for me. I mainly play either objective or team slayer. Even in objective you don't really have to do much talking since most players have a feel for what needs to be done and what they do best. So 97% of the time I'm safe to keep my microphone on MUTE. Besides, I've heard a few gamers male and female alike talking trash and acting stupid so it's best to ignore them and play on.
As for the personal attacks online or at school, just tell them you're not the best player in the world but you love to play the game. If they continue to harrass them then say something like, Gee you must be really insecure to be attacking me without reason ... it's okay, I have a cousin just like you. Coming out of the closet was the hardest thing he ever did.
That should shut him up ;)
