Dirty Harry 6

Why couldn't this just have been the last Dirty Harry movie. It would've been a fantastic ending to the series. COME ON PEOPLE!!!

Because A.) a lot of people, myself included, think that the Dirty Harry series started brilliant and got more drab and dull with each installment, and so there would be a fairly sizeable chunk of audience who probably wouldn't see it. And

B.) This was based off of a book, and to re-write it for Dirty Harry with the same plot would have been just lazy.

and this is just my opinion here; I considered this to be a weak thriller at best, (and I'm a Clint fan, so I don't like saying that,) and while I think it's better than 'Dead Pool', this film would have been an unneccesary entry into the Dirty Harry series.

The audience would have still been much larger.

I agree, though, that turning this character into Dirty Harry would have been gratuitous, even if it might have worked. Besides, this guy (McCaleb) is a former FBI man, not a San Fran cop.

Ah, then it could be a sequel to In the Line of Fire! lol, just kidding.
