Québec City as The North Pole

I was watching this movie for the first time tonight and was really surprised when I realised that The North Pole was actually Québec City!! Santa's big castle is really "Le Château Frontenac" and the village is a neighborhood called "Petit Champlain". Ha! I live in such a beautiful city!!!!!:)

I'm watching Blizzard on tv right now and that castle on the hill cannot be hard to recognize. Such an excellent setting for the North Pole. Also I think the stable scenes for the reindeer were filmed at Casa Loma
