Vandread Trivia - correctness of 2nd trivia?

The Trivia section states that Hibiki only says Dita's name outloud twice.

While this is probably true for the original japanese voicing (haven't watched much of the japanese with subs), the English dub DOES have Hibiki saying Dita's name outloud 3 times (at least).

Twice in the last episode (as already known), but also once in the first episode of the 2nd Stage season - He does so just after Dita asks when he'll come visit her room (after Parfait complains a bit).

Anyone else noticed this so far?! :P

I havent noticed that. But when I read your post, I laughed, because the way he's avoided saying her name out aloud is by calling her idiot all the time :)

The english voice overs are dire. Dont listen to them if you can help it. They spoil the whole 2 series.
For non japanese speakers, Japanese with subtitles is the ONLY way to watch this.

For one of the best examples of why NOT to listen to the English dubbed version of most anime, check out Naruto. In the English version he says "Believe it" every 4 freaking seconds or so, whereas any such catchphrase is nowhere to be found in the original Japanese version.

In the beginning of the series of Naruto he did say believe it every now and then. But the English version just blew it out of proportion.

Are you serious?

Naruto DOES have a catchphrase, and he says it just about every third line or so. It's "dattebayo," which doesn't translate into English. The people who write the subtitles don't even bother with it, because unless you speak Japanese you wouldn't notice it.

He says "believe it" in the dub because of this pesky thing in animation: if the mouth is moving, there have to be sounds coming out. They had to come up with something for the actor to say to lip sync with character on screen.
