another very similar genre and equally moving movie is "born into brothels"..
this movie is also a documentary of a female photographer covering the life of prostitution in calcutta. though you see the women in their environment, the focus of the movie is on the outcast children that have been born within the walls of the brothels.
during her years within the brothels, the photographer and her camera became quite a novelty to the children, and as a result she felt impressed to teach them the art of self expression through the lens of a camera.
the neat difference of this movie is that the children are the photographers, documenting their environment, through their eyes.

I can't remember if all these (fictional) films feature photography but they all feature war journalists and in my opinion are superb.

Salvador
The Killing Fields
The Year of Living Dangerously
Under Fire

As for films that feature (still)photography in the plot, off the top of my head:

Blow-up
Rear Window
The Eyes of Laura Mars

If you can't count it or measure it it's an opinion and not a fact.

there are also a couple of national geographic documentaries that are pretty awesome. one is fairly old and was made to coincide with the release of British photo journalist Tim page's book Requiem which was a dedication to journalists that died whilst documenting the war in vietnam. the documentary pays particular attention to the deaths of Larry Burrows and Henri Huet who dissapeered in cambodia during a helicopter flight (documented also, in far greater detail, in the fascinating book 'Lost over Laos') the title of this documentary is "camera martyrs of Vietnam".
"shooting under fire" is the story of reuter's man in israel reinhardt krause and and other photojournalists both palestinian and israeli it is an amazing and disturbing documentary and showcases the breathtaking work of Ahmed Jadallah who's images are almost as good as those of Larry Burrows.

Z
the Costa-Gavras film. I saw it back when it first came out around 1969 and it had a great deal of influence on how I view photography. Without realising it until years after the fact, it had a great deal to do with why I chose photography and photojournalism as my profession!

The Hunting Party 2007 with Richard Gere.

the photographer

not the best movie in the world...actually it's nowheres close...but it's slightly entertaining and completely tolerable.

Plus there's some nice photos in it. A series by Howard Schatz actually. Great works.
