Instead of cramming the wonderful manga by Kaori Yuki into a three episode OVA they should have made it into a tv series.Of course a drawback in this is that it would probably have a lower budget.Or they could make another OVA that's more carefully paced(ya know,more than just three tiny half-hour episodes).Another thing I didn't like was the overly-clean looking digital animation.In my opinion they should have gone with a more soft-shoujo type style.

I once heard a rumor (and we know how reliable THOSE are! ::rolls eyes:: ) that Kaori Yuki was once approached about turning AS into a televison series, but she rejected the idea because the plot would have to be severely watered down. It's a shame, because Angel Sanctuary would make a great show.

Well if the rumor is true I can see where she's coming from.Quite a few mangas have been watered down or altered severely when made into an anime.Mostly due to low budgets,and creative differences and such.

I agree with quaker about making it a softer more shoujo styled anime. The first thing I said to myself when I popped the DVD into my player was "Wow its kinda bright" I think it would have looked awesome if they had maybe "Smudged" the look of it.

I think all of us AS fans would have loved to have the anime, but just if it was the same plot than in the manga...Yuki said she won't do the anime because that would mean well soften the story...and change several things...and I think it was for better...look at Fullmetal alchemist...the Manga is superb and the anime falls short...plus it's a different story I think Yuki Kaori didn't want to change it or to cut it just to get the PG-13 :P...The Ova I think it was to hoook more people in the manga ;) and I really doubt they'll make an anime that challenges so many subjects, religion, incest, rape, etc...if people (religious people overall) got a little bit angry and upset because of evangelion's story, sailor moon's relationships (Haruka + Michiru), etc... I don't think they'll go easy of Angel Sanctuary :P

Most of the people end up loving Kira (Lucifer) , and I love the idea of Setsuna and Sarah being together :P

I think it would have been awesome if they hadnt killed off Rosiel i mean c'mon that angel was evil (supposed to be) but they killed him off before any actual good fighting took place...think of all the duels there could have been....

Rosiel did not die in the Anime. If you watched the full OVA you would see that he was alive at the end to save his love, Katan.
