I'm posting this here instead of the TTLG forums because i don't wanna embarrass myself infront of the even greater number of experts.

After installing the 2.3 patch, i was told that i could eliminate the weapon degradation and alien respawning.I thought...great since it used to piss me off!

Trouble is i can't seem to find the option that lets me do either for some reason. I was told that the patch only worked on the release version and not some "cheap re-release" which i suspect may have been mine (I bought mine for $9.95AUD from the Black Diamond Game Series). I've looked in the options menu and still can't do it.

Am i blind or should i not have installed it at all?

if i remeber it correctly, you'll have to open the 'config.cfg' in your game directory using notepad. do a search for 'gun degradation rate' and change the figure to your liking. now, i'm not 100% sure about the name, but i think it's 'config.cfg'. you'll figure it out if you look around in there.
