Can't understand why half-life is so revered. It's great but this is better.

This game had a profound effect on my gaming experiences. When I first played it in 1999, I knew this was something different and truly original. I was truly shaking peering down the dark corridors of Recreation and hearing my Geiger counter go nuts in the coolant tubes of Engineering. The atmosphere generated by this game in my opinion has never been matched, let alone surpassed, and I have been a gamer for over 25 years!
BioShock in my opinion was just trying to ride the success of System Shock. I enjoyed exploring Rapture and trying to stop the evil Andrew Ryan, but the Von Braun and Citadel Station will always be the creepiest parts of the galaxy for me :)
