What about the absence of spectators???!!! (spoilers)

At the end when Evelyn is standing there w/ her "exhibit" alone, and no one (except for Paul Rudd) comes to see it. No one has mentioned anything about that: doesn't that speak volumes? She even said (paraphrase) "Indifference/apathy is the only thing that's intolerable when it comes to discussing art." And that's what she got: total indifference. No one gave a damn. Isn't that the ultimate revenge towards her?

Did anyone on the board mention this and I didn't see it? Because I thought that was a huge statement and a great FU as far a Paul Rudd was concerned.

Explanations?

Yes, I thought that would be the only way to hit Evelyn where she lived.

"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"

"No one gave a damn"

That, and the fact that people most likely were disgusted by it, and decided not to give her exactly what she wanted, but not because they didn't pay attention, but because NO ONE would hold it against Adam to have been played so badly by a hot psycho.

Thus clearly they sided with him and spared him any more embarrassment by simply leaving.
