? about the ultimatum that Evelyn gave Adam at the coffee shop (spoiler)

I wonder why Adam told Evelyn that he was willing to give up his 2 best friends (Jenny and Phillip), who he has known for years, just to make her (Evelyn) happy, and willing to forgive him and stay with him?

That did not make any sense to me, because I am sure that the love he had for Jenny was greater then the love he had for Evelyn.

I would have ended things with Evelyn if I were Adam (after she gave him that ultimatum).

He only knew her for what, a few months (not sure), and he was willing to give up his 2 (and maybe only) friends (1 of whom he had a big crush on in the past, and I assumed was in love with).

I do not know, but agreement on giving up his 2 (and maybe only) friends (so that Evelyn would stay with him) just did not make sense to me.

Would you have done the same (for a girl) if you were really crazy in love with her?

After his thing in the park with Jenny, I imagine his feelings would have completely changed.
