What happened to Rose?

Ok, i did enjoy the film but after Mel left Rose with the doctor on the bus, i just kept thinking about what will happen to her. Any ideas?

I havent actually seen pure yet but i wanted to know if it was any good? i know it hads keira knightly in it and david wenham are they any good in it, i heard the actors were really good performance wise were they?

Are you going to save her?

It is a fantastic film, I really love it. The actors are all brilliant in this, their performances are amazing, very real especially Harry Eden (plays Paul).

You should definitely watch this film but be warned it did make me cry...

I assumed the doctor would have taken her to social servies where eventually she'd be fostered / adopted by a family (much better option for wee Rose than staying with Mel)

I know this is a very old thread but are you really that daft? My cousin's mum ditched her in some small town and cps refused to believe that she was her grandmother's granddaughter because they didn't look alike at all. They threw her in the system and she was abused, horribly by her foster family. My aunt adopted her...she got lucky in that. However, the foster family really screwed her up. Rose was kind of screwed either way. But I guess we can use our imagination.

She was addicted to heroin, and she got pregnant by her drug dealer. She had been pregnant once before, but her baby was taken by social services. When she had the second baby, it was born addicted to heroin and was taken by social services again. After she has the baby, she tells Paul (the little boy) that she has nothing else to live. Later, Paul finds out she's become a prostitute.

so did they take the third baby away? or does she get to keep it on her own?? I really like this kind of movies.. XDD they are soooooo fantastic, because it seems like somebodys real life! but i also like movies like pirates.
does keiras character die, because somebody told me so?? and i really hope it doesnt happen!! and what happens at the end??

They don't say if there was a third baby. She only had two. I doubt that social services would let her keep a baby.

Keira's character doesn't die. She becomes a prostitute at the end to pay for her drug habit, and probably to fill the void of not being allowed to keep her babies.

Marsha Thomason's character Vicki, who plays Mel's (Molly Parker) best friend dies, not Knightley.

Noooo!!!!!!!!!!! Why did Marsha Thomason's character die? How!?!?! Please please tell me what happened. I can't find this movie anywhere near me!

I'm a big Marsha Thomason fan and she said this was her most challenging character ever. So please, someone tell me what happen.

If memory serves, Vicki died of an overdose. I guess you have to crank up the dosage since each hit loses it's potency the more you use the stuff. So one day the hit that gave her that nice high also killed Vicki.
