Nicole Kidman overacting, being a try hard.

Anthony Hopkins - oh my apologies, Sir Anthony - hammering on his usual riff.

Stereotypes galore: sophisticated Jewish intellectual, poor slutbucket female cleaner/waitress, white middle-class omniscient writer, African American students absent from class, African American students complaining, hot young thing attracted to wrinkly old man, ...

And I'm only a few minutes in.

Crazy Nam vet in a pickup truck.

And ... switched off.

Kidman - didn't care for her performance.

Hopkins - took me a while to realize he was Coleman.

Crazy Ex truck driver - what was his purpose? What was with the ice fishing at the end? I didn't get that scene.
